Meet Andrew Baker, our 2024 Team Member Volunteer of the Year — a true changemaker, proving that one person’s passion can inspire an entire community!
Before joining Community Choice, Andrew worked in food science and the restaurant industry, where he saw firsthand the impact of food insecurity. That experience fueled his mission to ensure everyone has access to nutritious meals.
Andrew dedicates countless hours to Make Food Not Waste, an organization that upcycles produce and transforms it into meals for those in need. His commitment to the community extends beyond the kitchen. In 2024, he also led clean-up efforts at local parks, rallying colleagues to join him in making Michigan a greener, more beautiful place.
His passion is contagious. Andrew doesn’t just volunteer — he inspires others to take action. Being named Team Member Volunteer of the Year is a recognition he deeply cherishes.
“It means I work for a company that truly cares about helping others and making the world a better place. This honor pushes me to keep making a difference,” says Andrew.
